    Hello Ladies,

I am just getting familiar with lap booking. We are studying little house on the Prairie and want to do lap books for each book. They look really fun but unfortunately I am not crafty or very creative. lol. Would someone like to show me how or give me a place to go? THANKS!!!

We have done a lot of lapbooking over the years, it’s fun if your child likes that hands on crafty thing.  Homeschool Share has tons and tons of lapbooks and they are all FREE.

You can watch a video by Erica from Confessions of a Homeschooler about how to lapbook here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uquNEP49uk4

It’s about 14 minutes long and I’ve not watched it so I don’t know what all she covers.  A few tips – have your child do 1-2 lapbook pieces each day, instead of the whole thing in big sessions.  Then at the end of the study have them put it all together.  Younger children may need you to cut pieces out for them, or help with writing their oral narrations into the pieces.  That’s ok!  Make it fit your family.

Have you looking on Pinterest?  I find lots of homeschooling ideas on there.
