I’ve searched other posts and jotted down some favorites mentioned. Just wondering if anybody has a suggestion for my dd (nearly 13) who just finished Basket of Flowers and loved it. A lot of the books seemed to be about boys, and she esp. likes girl stories. She’s a reluctant reader, so I’m thrilled that she actually ASKED for more of these books. Of course they have to be expensive:( Any tips on buying cheaper? Thanks:) Gina
momto2blessingsParticipantAnybody read Rosa of Linden Castle or Buried in the Snow? Thanks!
missceegeeParticipantGina,
Lamplighter often has sales and is having one currently. Sale link. They also have a Book of the Month club that offers savings and at conventions, they have a buy 5, get 1 free.
You can search by age and gender on their site, too. Their selections are equally good for boys and girls.
Other favorites of my dd11 –
- A Peep Behind the Scenes
- Nobody Loves Me
- The Boy of Mount Rhigi
- Teddy’s Button
- Jessica’s Mother

Christie
missceegeeParticipantMy ds8 read Buried in the Snow w/ Daddy and loved it. I just got Rosa through the book club.
momto2blessingsParticipantThanks, Christie! I’ll definitely be looking into these soon:) Gina
binkyParticipantI have a book club membership as well. I read Challenge at runaway brook with my 10 yo daughter. It was very good. we have gotten a lot of the audio books on the book club but I think you can access them free from their site.
TailorMadeParticipantWe’ve been enjoying What is Her Name?
