Koine Greek count on college applications?

Does anyone know if Koine Greek counts as language credit when applying for college?  I’d never thought of it not counting, until I read on another forum a mom commenting about switching to classical Greek later so it would count.  I imagine it would count for a seminary, but would a secular college count it?  Just wondering because it’s the main language we’re working on since hubby knows it (and doing Latin Roots and planning Spanish in h.s.).  Thanks for any insight:)  Gina
