Hey Ladies, I had posted a few months ago about advice on Weight Watchers. I did join and I’ve lost 22 lbs. I paid for 2 months and gleaned all I could from those meetings, but decided to go the plan on my own due to the cost. I have a friend who is a wealth of knowledge on Nutrition and exercise so she is my accountability partner now. I was losing very fast on WW which is great for motivation in the beginning, but is not good for the long haul. So I am trying to slow it down to .5 up to 2 lbs per week and I am having to tweak my calorie intake to make sure I am getting consistent losses but at a slower pace. If you lose too fast, you are losing loads of muscle and the weight is apt to come right back (happened to me twice before). The websites I am having success with now are http://www.livestrong.com – you can track calories, food and exercise there and it tells you how many calories you have left in the day as you log in what you eat throughout the day. Also, for a wealth of info on nutrition and exercise you can check out http://www.fat2fitradio.com. The biggest challenge is getting your head wrapped it and realizing that quick losses are just quick fixes – at least for me.
As far as the question about WW online, I think you could have great success with it. The program is nutritionally sound and really encourages you to eat your fruits and veggies with 0 points values for almost all of them. If you want to have everything in one place, WW online is great because you can track your progress, learn about exercise, track your food, see how many points values are in your personal recipes so you can easily track them as well.
Please pm me if you have any questions!
Hope this helps …and great success to you!
