I want to learn how to knit, and teach my daughter who is 5 1/2 as well….anyone know of any good books, tutorials?
Questa7MemberHey…haven’t used it, but we have quite a few Oak Meadow materials, and this book looks great and very young-child friendly. HTH!

TailorMadeParticipanthere are a couple sites to help you start. I know there are more, but I’m not home at the moment.

TiaParticipantI learned how to knit a long time ago and recently picked it back up about a year ago. I met with a retired lady who is a pro and she helped my daugters and me get started. I use YouTube videos to learn new things as they come in patterns. It would be nice (and probably fairly painless) if you could find a lady who would sit down with you guys and teach you for a few weeks…
Also, Ravelry.com is a good site for q and a and patterns.
sherazParticipantHave you seen the SCM knitting video?

eawernerParticipantI LOVE knitting! I would check out ravelry.com and get ‘Knitting without Tears’ from your library. If you need to see someone demonstrating, then youtube will help tons with that. I have the same username on ravelry if you want to find/friend me. 🙂
CorieParticipantMy sister tried to teach me and after several hours said, “Maybe you should look up some videos on youtube.” Lol!
