Is the Indiv. Lessons guide needed?

    Hello everyone,

    I have been lurking around for awhile and finally have a decent question! 🙂

    I will be using McGuffy readers and gentle grammar (LA), Singapore Math, 106 Days of Creation (science). As I look through the samples of Level 1 and Level 2 it appears that all it is doing is giving me a schedule, but no actual lessons coming from the guide. Is that correct? I’m thinking I can do without it. Is that right?

    Yes, they are for moms wanting a bit more daily guidance.

    I’ve taught my kids to read with the McGuffey readers–they are great!

    Thank you, HollyS. I have searched “mcguffey readers” in the forums and saw you post in some of those old threads. I’ve learned quite a bit about using them. And I found a great resource on youtube, MomDelights. She uses them as her LA program, she has a blog too.  I’ll be mixing it up with some bravewriter bc I like to switch it up here and there to keep things interesting.
