I love everything about the Enrichment guide except that I will mainly be teaching a 5th and 3rd grade boy (on top of several others) and I’m not sure they are really going to be keen on knitting and sewing. My 5th grade boy actually may be interested in knitting, actually…but I digress.

Is it pretty easy to switch out handicrafts in the schedule?

My older 3 are boys, younger 3 are girls. We followed the Enrichment plans 1 the first year doing CM. They enjoyed Creating a Masterpiece’s pastels instruction and did a few crochet lessons and then dropped it. I can’t remember what we did for the other term. Last year (our second year) we ignored the Enrichment plans 2 entirely for handicrafts and art instruction bc we were having work done on our house with a wonderful handyman who welcomed their help. They learned to use a drill, helped a little with installing a garbage disposal and other things. They also intalled a tetherball in the back yard. I bought a book about whittling and one son carved a wooden spoon and multiple wooden knives. In short, it’s easy to substitute. Go with what they might enjoy.
