  • The kids and I are studying birds. Today we used the iPad to listen to a cardinal. Then my son had the great idea to turn up the volume and place the iPad on the deck to see if any birds would respond. And yes, they did! In fact we heard another male cardinal chirp the same thing! Very fun!

    I found the clip on you tube after I googles in “sound of cardinal bird”.

    Just wanted to share our fun science today with you all!

    I am so excited to use our iPad more for school! Thanks for sharing!

    I’ve been wondering if there’s app to identify American birds. I see some apps for those in Europe but not here.

    I don’t have this, but here is an ipad bird app for North America. Wish it was free though! πŸ™‚

    iBird is an excellent app for identifying American birds.
