Fun to see there are so many midwesterners! I’m a little further south now, but I grew up in NE, miss it lots…
I keep telling my husband to “move me to Manitoba!” I’m serious too! I’d at least like to live there from May to September, I’m okay down here for the rest of the year, except I miss real snow in the winter. For the most part, our “snow storms” are just token storms to make us think we actually have winter down here LOL. Of course England would be another very viable option for me, Linda-I visited Chester England when I was in college for a Choir festival-absolutely lovely! Then my family flew over and we explored the Cotswolds, Stratford Upon Avon, and all the lovely nooks and crannies, and then spent some time in London (of course) I’d be more than happy to go back. In fact, I think I just need to strike it rich and have homes all over the world in the different places I love- South Africa in the Winter, England in the summer, Canada in summer and fall, Hmmm, it’s fun to dream!
Anyway, it’s been fun to see so many intros, even though I’ve been here a while, I know more about you all today than I did before.
Zookeeper:again, I’m glad you’re here, it’s a great place to be, and these ladies really are the cream of the crop. I love them with as much “cyber love” as is possible LOL, and I’m sure you will too.
I’ve joined recently, too. I’m in Nothern New England, on the Canadian border. (eh?) LOL 😉
I’ve been hsing for 5 yrs but have finally come to the point where I am truly ready to embrace a more CM approach. I’m nervous and excited, too. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you along w/ Zookeeper.
THANK YOU so much for such a welcome!! It is awesome to meet you all. This homeschool journey I’m lovin’ has just been made a whole lot better! If there’s anyone else out there.. I’d love to meet you too!
I am new here too since May…but I have posted a dozen times. I read For the Sake of the Children and Charlotte Mason’s original series ten years ago when my oldest daughter was three. We have homeschooled using Charlotte Mason methods ever since. We now have seven children ages 1 to 13 years. I plan and record our books using the SCM organizer. I am in Southern California, thirty minutes from the nearest grocery store…
OK, so do I know her yet Cedargirl? And if not, why not? lol, our world over here is sooo in need of more CM families:)
Welcome zookeeper, love the name:) I too, am on the Westcoast, and know cedargirl well 🙂 Just 2 kidlets still at home, one will be finishing next year. Fostering has always been something we have prayed about. Good for you, what hard work that must be!
You will love this group, they are all as amazing as can be! Have fun with your journey..
I totally think we should have a little CM planning retreat in August…would be SO fun!
Welcome zookeeper! You’ll love this group. It’s the only one I spend any time on.
I’m Robin from East TN. I have three sons ages ALMOST 21 (!!!) just turned 8, and 7 1/2, whom we adopted from China last year. We’re beginning our 16th year of CM homeschooling and wouldn’t trade these years for the world.
