It uses one (yes, just one) sentence a week and works through all the grammar components and diagrams it on Friday. It is similar to Daily Grams, but much shorter and focuses more on mastery.
I can handle this with my 9+ kids. Leave it on the marker board, work with it a few minutes a day, and come back and do a bit more tomorrow.
CJKJParticipantHave you used this yet or are you planning on using it? It does look very interesting.
I like the concept behind their vocabulary as well. Has anyone had experience with their vocab curriculum?
MistyParticipantI thought it looked great, but wouldn’t you still have to buy a seperate teacher guide and workbook for each grade level?
It’s not like I could have the 5th, 4th & 2nd graders all doing the same thing 😐 or could i?

caroline4kidsMemberI am planning on combining. Grammar is a finite amount of topics and I believe there will be much repetition throughout the levels.
I haven’t tried it yet as I just ordered it today, but with only one sentence being analyzed per week I am thinking that my 2nd grader will also be able to glean some, if not all of it.
I only bought the 5th grade level and plan to use it with my boys: 8, 10, and 11.
caroline4kidsMemberOh, and you do not need the workbooks because the teacher’s guide allows you to copy. Workbooks just make it easier, but I am going to do it orally on a marker board.
mama29MemberJust went to the site, it looks intresting, thank you for the information. It does scare me though. I was looking at higher levels…..I think I would maybe be on a 4th grade level (never had to learn all this through HS and College) so for sure I won’t know how to teach it. Maybe you could review the teacher manual when you get it for clarity and simplicity, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks bunches!

caroline4kidsMemberI’ll let you know how it goes. I like to study backwards by looking at the answers and moving forward. 🙂
I think that since it is one sentence and the answers are explained in the teacher’s guide it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out in advance.
I am horrible at grammar and remember diagramming with tears in high school. Hopefully, one sentence over a full week will help me get it all.
AbbaschildParticipantCaroline –
Are you still using this? Just saw these posts and was wondering if you had an update…
