It uses one (yes, just one) sentence a week and works through all the grammar components and diagrams it on Friday. It is similar to Daily Grams, but much shorter and focuses more on mastery.
I can handle this with my 9+ kids. Leave it on the marker board, work with it a few minutes a day, and come back and do a bit more tomorrow.
I am planning on combining. Grammar is a finite amount of topics and I believe there will be much repetition throughout the levels.
I haven’t tried it yet as I just ordered it today, but with only one sentence being analyzed per week I am thinking that my 2nd grader will also be able to glean some, if not all of it.
I only bought the 5th grade level and plan to use it with my boys: 8, 10, and 11.
Oh, and you do not need the workbooks because the teacher’s guide allows you to copy. Workbooks just make it easier, but I am going to do it orally on a marker board.
Just went to the site, it looks intresting, thank you for the information. It does scare me though. I was looking at higher levels…..I think I would maybe be on a 4th grade level (never had to learn all this through HS and College) so for sure I won’t know how to teach it. Maybe you could review the teacher manual when you get it for clarity and simplicity, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks bunches!
