Of those of you who teach two foreign languages, how do you schedule them during the day/week?

My son will be starting Latin next year and continuing with his Hebrew. His Hebrew requires 4-5 days a week, so he will be doing two languages daily. My hunch is that you separate them by many other subjects.

    Thanks for your input,

    Rachel,

We tend to do the “toughie” early in the morning–for us that’s Latin–and then the ones doing another language or languages space them out throughout the day.  Foreign language just seems to best be done daily or nearly so, but yes, we do things in between.  One wouldn’t want to go from Latin straight to French and then Spanish, lol.  Actually I had that happen one year in high school and by lunchtime had no idea what I was speaking, 🙂

This is what works for us.
