How to check books you don't know about?

    So my mom brought me a couple books that I don’t have time to read, skimming them they seem ok but I’m thinking very twaddle at first impression.  The series is Chrildren of the Lamp.  Is there a site I can onto and put the titles in to see the comments, reviews etc that would be a valid place with good honest reviews?  Thanks MIsty

    Amazon.com has a description and a few reviews.  Sounds creepy to me.  But, keep in mind,  I grew up with mennonite grandparents…

    Misty,

    I have used CommonSense Media for movie reviews and I knew they also reviewed books.  They did have a review for book #1.   http://www.commonsensemedia.org/book-reviews/Akhenaten-Adventure-Children-Lamp.html
