I am new to CM, but love the philosophy. My oldest will be four in a month and I would love to connect with some other families doing CM, but can’t seem to find any co-ops in south or west Denver. Am I missing a resource, or is there truly not a group in town? Thank you!

Have you done a search for home school groups? There can be home school groups that have a co-op participation level or component but don’t advertise as a co-op. Make sense?

You could start your own co-op, keeping it purely CM or invite others who school a bit differently. But, in my experience, everyone loves literature, art studies, nature study, foreign language, etc., even if they aren’t CM.

You could start a FB page that is for home school families in your area. Just a thought.

I’m not sure if we can post links here or if that gets our posts caught in a spam trap, but if you go to CharlotteMasonCommunity dot com there’s an option to look for a community in your state. Perhaps that would help!

There are a few Denver/Colorado area mom’s on the SCM forum (I am in north Denver area)

MountainMamma I thought was going to start a group, but I am not in her area.

I agree with reaching out to the homeschool group in your area, you might be surprised and find other CM homeschooling families. I think there is a CM group in the Springs, but might be wrong. I don’t have the availability to join a coop at this time, maybe someday… 🙂

With your oldest being 4, have you checked with your local library? We went to so many great library things when my older 2 were young.

Oh and Sonya is coming to the CHEC conference, so you might find more of us there too 🙂
