    Does anyone know the approximate time setting of these books?

    Tree in the Trail

    Tree in the Trail and Seabird both cross over a span of history.

    Tree in the Trail starts in the days of the early Native Americans (when the tree is planted) and then goes through the time period of the creation of the Santa Fe Trail (early-mid 1800’s ish), following the story of the tree as it grows and changes.

    Seabird starts in the mid 1800’s with whaling ships and ends in the 1950’s with airplanes, following the story of a carved seabird and the family of the boy who carved it.

    We’ve enjoyed both of these books very much.
