Are the books listed in the history modules in order as they should be read? Also, how should my 4th grader read the recommended books? Start with Grade 1, first book and read through all of those and then all the 4-6th grade books? Do the 1-3 grade books and the 4-6 grade books parallel each other by topic? As you can see, I am confused has to how to use the modules for my 2nd graders and my 4th grader! Thanks for your help.
Not all of the modules have the books listed in order, but it looks like Module 5 does. The easiest way to approach the books with 2nd graders and a 4th grader is to read aloud the Grades 1-3 books to everyone together, then assign the Grades 4-6 books to your 4th grader to read independently. That way the 4th grader can be reading the parallel books as you go through the various events and people but still hearing the Grades 1-3 books too.
