ParticipantBecause my daughter wants to become fluent in Spanish, we decided to have her do an online live Spanish class. There are quite a few different options for online, and they are an investment, but since this is something she is very interested in we decided it was worth the investment. She is very interested in working for a Christian non profit or missionary type organization as a translator.
I grew up being homeschooled and for us, foreign language was really a miss as far as quality of options and what we learned. I think some can learn from a book, audio, or video (and they have come a long way from when I was young) but for many if they actually want to speak it they need that verbal live interaction, especially when learning correct pronunciation.
So all that said. We are trying online live class, it will be an experiment that is for sure 🙂 We have been doing Getting Started with Spanish and some Duolingo up to this point as a family just to gain some familiarity with the language.
