Hi – I was wondering if anyone else was using YWAM’s Heroes for Young Readers books for their kids?  I’m going to use it for my early years learners as unit studies, but wanted to see if I could team up with other moms for supplemental books from the library.  I’m using the books along with the Activity Guides, but love to get lots of juvunile books from the library to have around for fun reading that will tie in.  Or maybe you’re not using this series but would have recommendations anyhow for the following missionaries.

Mary Slessor, Loren Cunningham, David Livingston, Betty Green, Lottie Moon, Jonathan Goforth, Gladys Aylward, Amy Carmichael, William Carey, adoniram Judson, Hudson Taylor, CS Lewis, George Mueller, Corrie Ten Boom, Cameron Townsend, Jim Elliot, Nate Saint

    Thanks for your help!

    Rebekah,

I was not aware that YWAM had a publishing house. Thank you so much for enlightening me!

We have several of the YWAM chapter book (not picture book) biographies which my dd has enjoyed, but we simply read and narrate them and add them to our BOC.

Depending upon the age of your kids – Trial and Triumph, Missionary Stories with the Millers, Bruchko, Mission Impossible,  several Your Story Hour audiobooks include missionary bios. Also, Dangerous Journey is a good one.

Sorry that doesn’t help much with the unit study idea.
