….Voyage to the Planets by Richard Bliss? Comments on it?

I’m also looking for any other specific suggestions of living science books/biographies on astronomy for around 5th grade.

    Bumping this up….

This book is in the SCM Bookfinder, but I don’t know if whoever added the resource is still around on the forum….

Sue, I don’t have this in my library and am not familiar with it.  Some suggestions for other books might be:

Galileo – many bios out there

King’s Astronomer by Deborah Crawford – story of William Hershal, discoverer of Uranus

Dear Rebecca, Winter is Here by Jean Cragihead George – good book that explains winter solstice

Bios on Copernicus, Kepler, Benjamin Banneker, Maria Mitchell, Newton,

Many books on astronomy experiments such as those by Janice VanCleave

Also books on invididual topics such as solar system, galaxies, nebulae, etc.

Not sure if that helps.  I can look up specific titles if you need them

BTW, Dear Rebecca is more of a picture book but George is a great author…
