Our family sponsors a young girl, Nadege, at an orphanage in Haiti. I met her when I went on a mission trip several years ago and we simply hit it off. I came home, spoke to my husband and we became her sponsors. The couple who were the on-site missionaries had a plan to try to bring Nadege here on a student visa (she’s 14) and we were very interested in helping with that. However, in recent weeks, another short term team went to Haiti and another mom met and fell in love with Nadege and a little boy named Wiggans. She came home and almost immediately began adoption proceedings. Long story short, she managed to complete all of the paperwork and translation work and everything else in just a few weeks to submit to Haiti before their adoption laws change. She missed that deadline by a couple of days, but the authorities still accepted her papers. (Two miracles!) They are in the waiting phase now. The main issue is that Nadege ages out when she turns 15, which is next month. Will you join me in praying that God’s will be done in this situation? I am praying that He will move mountains to bring Nadege to the states with this family if that is His plan for her. Neat thing is she would be in the same city as me!

    Blessings,
