I know it is recommended that the whole family work together on the same habit and that this book is intended to be used with the whole family… And I really want to do this, but I’m struggling to implement it.  The discussions I try to initiate tend to fall apart quickly, I lose one while I focus on the other.  I sense that I need to do a 2-pronged approach… Some together, some separate.  What does this look like for the rest of you doing it?  We are trying to work on attentiveness, and I’m not feeling a great deal of success yet.  Looking for ideas… Thank you!

    Bumping this.

I’m interested to hear some input on this too.

Did you end up changing your approach?

What ages are your children? Mine are 5, 7, 9, 11.  We do LDtR as a group.  I very much stick to the small bit written for each lesson.  By times I ask for a narration (of a poem/story).  By times I ask for each girl to tell me how she can implement something in her life. But I keep the whole thing very short.

Later in the day, as life happens I try to point back to what we read. And that’s all I do with it.
