Hi!  If I had access to the original Famous Men of Greece, would that work for the guide or is it necessary to have the one edited by the Shearers?

    Thank you!

Good question. I can’t answer definitely, because I don’t have that version. But I would think it would work for the most part. The main difference that comes to mind is that I don’t know if the original version has the stories divided into parts. In the lesson plans you might be told to read the chapter on Hercules, parts 1 and 2. So you may need to look ahead at how many parts the plans mention and do a little creative sectioning in your book.

Does anybody else know of a difference between the original and the Greenleaf versions?

I don’t know if this helps, but I have a new copy from Memoria Press (I just liked the look of the printing and the pictures better) and it works fine. I have both Greece and Rome.
