    Does anyone have suggestions for a good guide or text for introducing grammar school kids to the different types of public speaking?  We’re doing a co-op so I need something that would work in that setting.

    I can’t think of any books, but what comes to mind for public speaking at that age is show and tell, book reports and club meetings, acting, recitations, and oral narrations.

    It’s older grammar, so I’m looking for something just a bit more structured.  I guess at least an outline – persuasive, informative etc…

    For my high schoolers I use Secrets of the Great Communicators dvd and workbook.

    Do you mean forensics type speaking?  4 minute speech, radio speaking, etc. ?
