I’d be curious to know what you thought of it.

Yes, and we love it!  We do one name per week or so.  The children learn the different names of God in context of the Bible stories they are found in.  There are also activities at the end of each chapter.  We LOVE this book.  I always come away with a sense of wanting to worship the Lord more and I believe my children pick up on that.  Today we read about El Elyon – God Most High.  At the end we wrote a song about praising Him for being the MOST High and my dd drew a picture.  We discussed how God is higher than any other – than any of our fears.  This is one of my favorite resources this year. I think it adds a good balance to our character studies.  We study character traits so we understand how God wants us to live, but I want to be careful I am not presenting a “do this” Christianity vs. a “be this” (worshipper).  I love that his book brings us to the Point – to worship our amazing God!!

Tukata, thanks for that feedback. We are going through “Leading Little Ones to God” right now, and I’m looking for what we’ll do next. I think we’ll do that one next. 🙂

Thanks. =) We too like to balance teaching about God’s character with the character training stuff – I was liking what I was seeing with this and looking like it might be a good fit for us. =) Thanks for the feedback.

We are using this book in our homeschool and absolutely loving it.  It was highly recommended to me by several sources, to include my sister ..

We have used all of the books in that series. My kids, when they were 9 and 12 began using them during their personal Bible study time. (For about 2 years) They would read a lesson, then write some of the verses down and also just journaled their thoughts on it. There are maybe 6-8 of them and they really liked them!
