We are just starting out, where should I begin with the modules? My girls are 11 and 10. Should I start from the begining and work our way through to level 4 or 5 and then proceed to module 2 level 1 to 4 or 5, and then module 3etc. until we reach the appropriete grade level?? I am so confused… maybe I am making this harder than it is??

Also, the recommended book, Uncle Josh’s Outline Map Book, looks like a great resource but it is very expensive to buy and ship to Canada. Could I just google map outlines or are there specifics that I need this book for?

    Thank you so much,

    Samantha

Think of the modules as Time Periods. Choose a Time Period to study and use the books that are listed as appropriate for your children’s grade levels. When you finish that Time Period (usually about one year), move to the next Time Period. Does that help?

A good way to select which module/time period to begin with is to pick up where you left off in previous studies. If, for example, you just finished studying Ancient Rome, pick up with the Middle Ages module.

Feel free to use Google images for blank map outlines. Uncle Josh might save you some time in locating one, but another source will work just as well.
