I am considering using the visits to series for high school geography. Is it possible to have high school students work through all of the books in one year. Would there be a reason not to do that? Any reasons why we shouldn’t consider that? I’m thinking we would need to add in some additional literature and such.

My oldest is 18 and a sophomore in college. She completed all 6 visits books over 8-12 grades (skipped 11th) including the map drills, literature books, and Hungry Planet books/projects.  I gave her 1/2 World Geography credit.  3/4 would have been a more accurate credit.  We had a lot of cumulative credits for her.  Next kid greatly prefers textbooks and is going that route now in 9th grade.  Likely I’ll have my younger two revisit the Visits series in a year or two.

If I award my daughter 1/2 credit for geography, do I take away 1/2 credit from the total history credit?  We use the SCM hx, geo, Bible combination books.
