How about the “King and I”? not the cartoon version though. Maybe some old musicals. I think the older movies seem a little better. I also have children that don’t like to be scared. This weekend was a trip for them when relatives noticed that they didn’t like scary movies and called them weird. 🙁 It is sad that children are sensitive and others don’t understand it.
Maybe “Character Builder storybook” by Fisher Price , “Prince of Egypt”, “Adventures in Odyssey”, ” The secret garden”, “The Love Bug”, ” The shaggy Dog”, “the nutty professor”, “Little House on the Prairie”, they have them on DVD now. maybe some “Andy Griffith”, “The magic Schoolbus”,
I had babysat for a friend of mine years ago. Our daughters were watching “Bambi” I was video taping their facial expressions as they were watching the movie. They were so cute as they smiled peacefully at the TV. Then, all of a sudden the little girl I was watching burst out in tears. (I didn’t know that her mom fast forwarded threw the Bambi getting shot part.) Bad me even had it all on tape. Two upset little girls and a lesson learned. She would put the timer on right at the spot that the movie was going south. Smart woman!
So, if you ever try that you might want to make sure the babysitter knows. 🙂
Lesson learned the hard way here……..
Have a blessed day!
