From MFW to SCM

    My 5 year old has completed Kinder with MFW… I’m wondering, can he simply jump into 1st grade with SCM? Is there a placement test?

    I think you should have no problem jumping in. The individual studies for grade 1 give you a list of resources. Math and reading would be the only skill based studies that you might need to consider placement. The Individual Studies page gives some information on placement and links to the recommended math and reading. I bet if you poke around on there you will find more detailed placement info. We came from MFW also a long time ago. We were able to use the first version Delightful Reading for my youngest and loved it. Here is the link to the Individual Studies page.
