Do you have any suggestions for a book about Forest Rangers on a 3rd(ish) grade reading level? My DD who struggles with and hates to read has become interested in Forest Rangers. We got what we could find at our library, but I am afraid that the difficulty of them is going to discourage her. I need something to keep her motivated to read!  Thanks

My daughter likes 4H curriculum.  You don’t have to be a member of 4H to get it.  I saw that they have a forestry curriculum.

I have a book in my library for the younger set called About Foresters by Norma Dobrin.  It’s an older book (1962) and covers

    Forests are important

    Training to be a forestwr

    caring for the trees

    fighting forest fires

    protecting wildlife

    safeguarding vacationers

    conserving water and soil

    research

Thank you.  I’ll look up those links and see if I can get an ILL on the book.  I want to get her something before she looses interest.
