So, I’m wondering about this… Someone asked the ” what about college question”, specifically, “don’t colleges require your child to take the GED because they did not graduate from an accredited HS”?

While I don’t have a HS student, my friends have not experienced that with their kids. Have any if you?

It depends on the state and the college. In TN we can register with an umbrella school. We do receive a diploma and a transcript from the school. None of the college we applied to had a problem. In fact they were are very enthusiastic about homeschooling. Check with the colleges you’re considering and find out their requirements.

My daughter took the ACT and that was the only score she ever submitted to any college.  We had no problems at all with her getting accepted.  We live in Texas and she went to college here.  Now she is in Seattle in college and there were no problems there either.

Yes, my son did the ACT, too. Forgot about that. The years get away. 🙂
