There is so much out there that is included in fine arts. Can you tell me what you did and why your child enjoyed it? I am trying to figure out a way to do this credit using more than one source. Meaning I don’t want to just have them read all the time. I’d like them to use all sources: audio, visual and hands on.
Just looking for new and fresh ideas.
RobinPParticipantMy 21yos needed a visual/performing arts credit for high school. He waited until his senior year to get it because he just didn’t know what he wanted to do. He never had music (even though I was a music major.) He was very quiet so he didn’t want to do drama or anything that would put him “out there.” He finally decided on woodworking. Dh is pretty good at it and they worked together. He loved it and made some beautiful things. He carries a pen/pencil set he made that is really lovely. My two 8yos are in Suzuki violin and doing very well so they won’t be so hard.
MistyParticipantRobin wonderful I never thought of woodworking.. My son is building basic birdhouses and doing wonderful things on the outside. Whittling sticks and gluing them on, doing rocks, cedar shingles etc. I never thought of adding learning to this to put in the fine arts area. that is terrific as these are very nice bird houses and he even sold some before Christmas. Thanks for getting my brain turning
