Wow, I have really liked everything I have….workshops (audio AND DVD), books, study guides, etc.

The thing that has probably most revolutionized our homeschool is the Simply Charlotte Mason Organizer. Even my husband says so….it has REALLY helped me stay on track!

I’ve also liked everything, but I’ve only tried a few books (so far).  I think my favorite is the history modules.  I spent so much time looking for the “perfect” history program and once I looked at the layout of SCM’s, I knew it was the right one for us!  I wanted a strong Bible focus and I loved how the books of the Bible are divided over the entire cycle.  My previous history curriculum left us with little time for other subjects, so we are really enjoying our other studies this year!

The Planning Your CM Education was also a huge help getting it all put together last summer!  I’m working on next year and the planning pages make it so simple.

Laying Down the Rails is also a great pick!  It’s nice to have all CM’s writings on habits in one place.

Thank you all for sharing!  The more that I research SCM products the more that I am impressed.  Not only with the products but also with the company.  There are really a ton of free helpful resources on this site.  The items that they sell are  very reasonably priced.  They seem to have a passion for the CM method and have created a wonderful platform to share it with others.  And they are doing it in a way that is simple enough for the ‘average’ homeschool mom to employ!  Thank you SCM!

I found SCM 8 weeks into HSing. I had researched and knew I wanted to go the CM route. I made the mistake of thinking I could buy everything in one neat kit. A few weeks in and I realized that it wasn’t our style at all. My dd and I disliked several of the books including the spines for history. It felt like we had wasted our money. After sending it back, I was totally at a loss to know how to do CM on my own. I did a google search and the top of the list was SCM!

The first purchase I made was the All Day Seminar and Planning your CM Ed. They were an amazing blessing. It took me a year to realize that the SCM Organizer existed. I would have to say it is by far my favorite SCM feature!

In the last 2.5yrs. We have purchased many things! It would probably be easier to list the items we don’t have YET!!! There have been a few items that after purchasing I have realized that my dd is not old enough yet to enjoy them, but I have yet to find a product that was not well done. At the appropriate age I know my daughter will enjoy them as I already am.

My favorite thing about the resources on this site is how easy they are to tweak to fit your needs!

    BTW- well said JennyMN!!!

We discovered SCM about a month and a half into homeschooling.  I can honestly say that had I not found SCM when I did, I am not sure I could have continued.  That sounds dramatic, I know, but my ds and I were both completely bored with the curriculum I had initially chosen and we realized very early on that it did not complement his learning style nor my teaching style.  Probably the two resources/products that I rely on the most heavily are the Curriculum Guide and the Bookfinder.  I read the free e-books from SCM and was absolutely convinced that the CM method was best for my ds and I.  We are never, never bored now!  We use every SCM resource that is applicable for his grade level (with the exception of math, and with that we use Math U See).  I agree with NJcountrygal in that I have yet to find any product that is not well done.  The products are exceptional.  My ds6 absolutely loves school and my ds2 cannot wait to get started.  SCM has made home education such a joy for me!

I’ve only been here for two weeks, so I haven’t even had time to read Planning Your CM Education. I am going to get at that when my daughter is in bed. I purchased 106 Days of Creation and Hours in the Out-of-Doors, plus Nature’s Notes(which dd loved when she saw it) for nature study. We have never done an actual ‘nature study’, even though our previous curriculum was CM based. So, I’m sure we will apprececiate all the above. I know there will be many other resources here that will be good. I just haven’t had time to explore them all:)
