I haven’t been to a conference in years for homeschooling. Everyday is becoming like the the previous, which is okay mostly, but I could use some inspiration. Does anyone have a favorite homeschooling book that gives them encouragement? I haven’t bought a book in years…well a homeschooling book that is for me.
MamaSnowParticipantCM’s actual writings are wonderful and very inspirational…they take some effort to read, but are well, well worth it.

jeaninpaParticipantOff the top of my head:
For the Children’s Sake, by Susan Schaeffer MacCauley
Charlotte Mason Companion by Karen Andreola
Educating the Whole-hearted Child by Susan Clarkson
missceegeeParticipantI also like the magazine Home Educating Family.
TristanParticipantI love reading Karen Andreola’s Pocketful of Pinecones and Lessons from Blackberry Inn.
2flowerboysParticipantDitto to Tristan’s response! Also, like the magazine missceegee mentioned! 🙂 As well as Todd Wilson’s books!
And Hal and Melonie’s website http://www.raisingrealmen.com They have girls too! They have a weekly newsletter to encourage you!
bethannaParticipantAlong with previous ones mentioned, I like the magazine Home School Enrichment.
ChristyHParticipantI hadn’t even thought of a magazine. A magazine would be a nice change.
bethannaParticipantIs the mag. The Old Schoolhouse still in print or just digital?
TristanParticipantjust digital, but it’s FREE.
Tecrz1ParticipantI absolutely love Sally Clarkson’s Educating the Wholehearted Child mentioned above. I could read it over and over. It just makes me feel so inspired and happy 🙂 it has a lot of great ideas too. In fact, just seeing it sitting there brings back the warm fuzzies lol!

TiaParticipantI like the Karen Andreola books for light, inspirational reading. I like CM original writings for a more intense, “Of course! Yes! Profound!” type reading.
I like Homeschool Enrichment, too. Actually, I’ll have two articles published in it in the coming months.
bethannaParticipantWow, Tia! That’s great! I’ll keep an eye out for them.
