Cindy in VABookwormParticipantFor what ages? What books did you use? What did you cover? What you want is to get them to “retell” you some of the stories learned. So it will depend upon what stories you learned!
stipegangMemberYea, that information would be good to provide so you know what we’ve done, wouldn’t it/ Ages: 13 – 17 They’ve read Hitler and Stalin by Marrin. Franklin D. Roosevelt By R. Freedman. Plus a general history spine for the 1930s and 40s.
Thx!
blue jParticipantThis may be way too late, but here are some ideas off the top of my head and in no particular order:
What precipitated the start of WW2?
What countries made up the Allied and Axis powers, and who were their leaders? Explain the position of each of the leaders of the Allied and Axies powers, when did they become involved in the war, and how much effect did they have in the direction of how the war was faught?
How did the US actions shape war?
How did Europe’s actions shape the war?
What event(s) precipitated the US involvement in the war?
What were some of the changes that took place in the US as a result of US involvement in the war? Did any of those changes have a lasting effect on our society? Explain.
blue jParticipantHow did the test questions go for you students?
