I got this and many other finds at our NEW used books store in our little town.  I was wondering if anyone else has read through this or used it any different ways?  Also what age you would suggest it for.

Would you use it for a family devotion, a young child for personal development, or older children?  It looked like a great find I hope I spend money wisely!!  Misty

Hi, Misty!  We have this book.  I’m trying to remember what ages they all were when we read it.  We used it as a family read-aloud, and I’m guessing mine were about 12, 10, and 6 when we did it?  I could be off a year or two.  We just read and discussed and enjoyed it, discussing what we were reading about some but not too overtly.  The good thing is it is a relatively engaging way to discuss good manners.  We liked a little less that it had so many little chopped-up pieces of literature.  And my boys groaned every time there was a selection from Anne of Green Gables, lol.  But mostly we all liked it.  Didn’t make us all perfectly mannered, lol, but I did think it was profitable to read and discuss.

We are currently reading this book to our daughter at bedtime.  She is 7 (1st grader).  I’m jealous that you found it used 🙂  I bought it new from Amazon.
