    I need recommendations on which version of this to use for my 8th grade son. I have never read any of them so I am lost…

    Any suggestions, please? Thanks! 🙂

    For what it’s worth, Veritas Press uses a translation by David Ferry for Omnibus 1. That’s the one we read. I don’t know anything about any other versions.

    Hello!
    RC History recommends Gilgamesh by Bernarda Bryson for this grade level.
    This is the note that accompanies the recommendation:

    Please note: We have reviewed this version of the Gilgamesh story, as well as the trilogy by Ludmila Zeman, for age-appropriateness. We do not recommend using other versions of the Epic of Gilgamesh, even those that have been written for children. The original story, as does much ancient literature, contains scenes which are not appropriate for children or teens.
