    I’m looking for recommendations for living books pertaining to environmental science, or a good source to find some somewhat easily.

    My kids will be in an Envirothon group this coming year and I’d like to supplemental some of the dry, factual stuff they have to read with some more interesting living books.  Topics include forestry, wildlife, aquatic ecology, soils/land use, and current environmental issues.

    If the writing doesn’t have to be current, you might seek out books by the naturalist John Muir.
