Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to update a resource and then have that information applied to my daily plan? For example I entered a new resource with information, then realized it should have been set up a little differently, but on the daily plan it still reverts to the original resource information??
Just go in to the schedule and change something… Possibly check the chapters scheduled if you changed those at all and save. The way this works you can change a resource without messing up something already scheduled for someone, or update the schedule too.
If you add new divisions to the resource, you will need to edit the schedule to include the new divisions before the Daily Plain will update.
I’m having a similar problem and can’t seem to get my newly added divisions to show up on the daily plan, though they do show up when I click “view resource”. The only way I’ve been able to change my daily plan to reflect the updated divisions is by rescheduling the resource and deleting the original one, but I wouldn’t want to do that on a regular basis! My main reason for wanting to continue updating divisions is to schedule writing assignments each week. I see that I would have the option of writing the assignment in a note each day before printing, but I was hoping for the chance to be able to enter them all in a week (or two) at a time. Hoping there is a way to make this work for me..just started the trial run and this is the only tricky thing I’ve encountered thus far. Otherwise, love, love, love! Life is easier already!
Afterthought:
If there is no other way around it, I suppose I could create a new resource for the daily writing assignment each week (or two) and schedult it to start after the previous weeks assignments are completed. A bit more trouble, but doable I suppose?!
You don’t need to delete the original and reschedule – you just need to go into it in the schedule and resave it. That tells the program that you want to use your newer version.
Ok, I finally got it! Thanks so much @suzukimom!! I thought I should have to go into the resource where you can add divisions and save it from there, and nothing was happening. Just click edit resource from the schedule section, click save, and it all came up in my daily plan right away. Horray!!
