Nina- I am going to use the whole thing for now, just to get me back on the rails so to speak. And just for the summer. We’ll go “back” to CM teachings after this.
I have to kind of chuckle to myself when I say that because thruthfully we don’t have much to go back to.
I’m hoping that this season away from the computer (I can’t use it when the kids are doing Easy Peasy on it, extra bonus there) and focusing on chores, school, and some serious tomato staking will let us transition into the less regimented (read: worksheet-y) realm of CM. My hope is that perhaps once we establish good habits with our time, we will be able to enjoy a less structured CM education in the fall.
My only real concern is that my children’s amount of screen time is going to go from about zero to about a ton starting Monday. Luckily like I said that means mine will dramatically decrease, but I do worry that they will be “hooked” come fall. Any thoughts on that?
I did look at several random days in each of the years my dds will be using this summer (K and 3) and it looks like the links take you to sites that have very little if any advertising or extraneous animation. Still…. I’m concerned. I’m also desperate so I will likely go ahead with it despite these reservations, but I would love to hear from anyone who’s done Easy Peasy already. Anybody?
