Does SCM have a wishlist? I out stuff in my cart and then had to log out. It would be nice if I could put everything into the cart or the wishlist and then when I come back on they are still there.
Katrina in AKParticipantThis would be great! I am always wishing… 😉
Doug SmithKeymasterI had thought that if you were logged in when you put the items in your cart that they would still be there when you log back in again, but I could be mistaken. We’ll have to investigate a bit and see if it can be improved.
Doug SmithKeymasterWe did some testing and what I described does seem to be the case. In fact, I had a test cart that was over a week old that still had its contents.
If your web browser or other software is configured to delete browser cookies then it would not be able to remember your cart, so that’s a setting to check.
Katrina in AKParticipantSuper! Thanks, Doug.
ScoathyParticipantDoug…if something is in your “cart”, when you proceed to checkout, and you select items in your cart to purchase, or do you have to purchase all that’s in your cart?
Doug SmithKeymasterYou’ll have a chance to remove items you don’t want before completing your checkout. But you can’t leave some items in the cart for later and purchase only some of them.
KarenB73ParticipantThanks Doug.
Katrina in AKParticipantDoug, I was playing with this last night. As of this AM, my cart is empty, though I tucked three or four things into it last night. Could it be because I use two different devices? (iPad and PC)
Not trying to be a trouble maker…. 🙂
Doug SmithKeymasterIt could be the two different devices. The cart may remember only what was on one or the other. Or it may get confused seeing you log in from a different device and reset the cart.
There is a new version of the cart software we use that does some things differently with tracking carts. It will be interesting to see if this is improved after we upgrade in a few weeks.
Jordan SmithKeymasterGood news! We now have a wishlist available on our store. If you’re logged into your account (you can use your forum account), you’ll see a link under the “Add to cart” button to add the item to your wishlist. You can create multiple wishlists, make them public or private, and share them with your friends if you like. Enjoy!
MountainMammaParticipantThat’s great! Way to respond to user feedback. I hope the items will stay in for a long time because it will be a few years before we really get going with CM (my oldest is 4). Thanks!
ScoathyParticipantthis is awesome!!! Thank you so much!!!
Katrina in AKParticipantSuper! Thank you!
Doug SmithKeymasterI hope the items will stay in for a long time
There is no time limit as far as I know. It’s stored with your account login.
By the way, we welcome your feedback on how well the wishlist feature works. We know it has a few rough spots in the way it’s formatted on the pages, but it seems to be functioning well. But we thought we’d let you all test it a bit more before we make any larger announcements. Thanks for your help!
