Hi guys, I’m new to homeschooling.  My girls are 5.5 and 3.  We used SL last year for my oldest, but were looking around for something more “hands on.”  Unfortunately where I live our library is in sad shape and very far away, so I have to create my own here at home.  I was reading the WP catalog and it states that they have based their curriculum on CM.  Have any of you used Winter Promise?  Likes, dislikes?  Any suggestions would be helpful!

    Cindie,

I don’t know about Winter Promise, but if you are looking for an all encompassing CM packaged curriculum, you should take a look at Living Books Curriculum.  It has everything but Math included.

    Thank you, Heather!

Have you looked at the complete guides from Simply Charlotte Mason?  I love that they have a great foundation, which is not overwhelming, and leaves you enough room to add more if you want.  Sonya has done a wonderful job and somehow I am going to do the Matthew Through Acts and Rome sometime in the next year.

Here’s the link to our curriculum guide that caroline4kids mentioned.

Thanks guys, I didn’t even know that existed.  Great information!

I love the curriculum guide.  My boys are 1st and 2nd grade this year and this will be my first year using CM methods.  We are going to stick pretty much to the SCM guide.  It’s so well thought out and easy to use.  I’m very thankful that a friend sent me to this website!!
