I love th Discovering Doctrine study!  It really puts focus into Bible reading.  I’ve started doing it on my own so that when I start my daughter in the fall I can help guide her from my own experience.

Here is an old thread I found that describes how to use it:  http://simplycharlottemason.com/scmforum/topic/your-experience-w-discovering-doctrine

Also, I’ve found that personally I don’t always have the time to add the entry right when I find it.  So, I’ve put a post-it note on the first page of every doctrine.  I can jot down the scripture verse on the post-it and when I have time I can write it in my book.  Then I just cross off the verse on the post-it note.

    Just thought I would share!

Great idea!  My ds is using this study and I think he is actually starting to enjoy it.  He doesn’t really like to put much on paper, just not the writing type, but he is really using it and will continue through high school.

We’ve used GOAL this year and thoroughly enjoyed it. DD is next on the list. I appreciate you sharing the sticky note idea. What a time saver for this mom. I get sidetracked and leave myself notes evrywgere so I can remember to follow through later when the time is more available.
