Creating Reports w/ organizer

    ok. I’d like to know when the options are “this school year” what does that mean?

    Lets see if I can explain what I want to know.

    We are done with this school year and I want to print a detailed report with evertyhing from this school year.

    Then I will be entering some summer stuff. Which then in Aug. I will want to run a new report with just that.

    Then in Aug. when we restart our “school” year I want that to be our “this school year”.

    So is there a secret to that or is it just keeping track of start and stop dates on my end and putting them in the “fixed” dates for the reports.

    Boy that sounds confusing is it or am I making more out of it?

    The “this school year” option in the reports is connected to whatever date you put in your Account for when your school year begins. If you put that your year begins on August 1, a report for “this school year” will give you everything done since August 1.

    If you want a report of just what you do over the summer, I’d suggest putting in those specific dates for that report. But once you put August 1 as your school year date of choice in your Account, you should be all set for those end of school year reports.

    Soyna, so does that mean our school year will always be that date. So each Aug 1st (example) will start the THIS school year?

    Correct. If you’ve set your school year to start on August 1, then each August 1 it will reset that report’s starting date. If you want to see the previous year’s stuff, you can select “Last School Year.”

    To try to be clearer (or maybe more confusing, I don’t know 😉 ), if you ran a report today for This School Year, you would see all records from August 1, 2008, to July 31, 2009. If you ran a This School Year report next year, you would see all records from August 1, 2009, to July 31, 2010. Does that help?
