I muddled through history last year on my own, starting with Mystery of History and quickly becoming disenchanted with the speed at which we were skimming through history.  I jumped off the MOH wagon and pulled my own stuff together.  We spent alot of time in Ancient Mesopotamia and got up to King Tut in Egypt.  I was planning on using Story of the World this upcoming year, but I fear I’m going to be in the same boat as I was with MOH…cruising through the rapids and missing alot of great stuff.  I also fear missing out on using the Bible alongside our history lessons.

I think I would enjoy resting in the lesson plans of the SCM modules.  If I ended around the time of King Tut, would it be safe to say that I can pick up at module 2?

    Thanks for your advice!!

After King Tut, the module ends with Ramses II – pretty much after that Egypt started losing their world power and began to pull into themselves.  So if you covered Ramses II, you would be exactly where Mod 2 picks up.

I agree. Module 2 should work just fine. (Enjoy resting.)

Thank you so much!  I had some money stored up in paypal from books that I’ve sold so thankfully I’ve just been able to order my Module 2 guide, Planning Your CM Education and all of the books to accompany module 2!
