We’ve been working on nature study with my DS (almost 6) the past month or so. He seems to really like the numbers aspect of it (DH and I are both engineers). So I read somewhere about collecting some weather data as a science/nature study sort of thing. I am wondering if anyone else has done this, and can share more about what sort of data you collected, and whether you did anything with the data later? I am thinking of doing:

    temperature

wind direction (found directions for a homemade weather vane on a website)

    weather (sunny, cloudy, etc)

rain accumulation (using a rain gauge)

    type of clouds if cloudy

And maybe another column for info about anything else nature-wise you want to record (saw a frog, flowers are blooming, etc). Thoughts?
