ParticipantHello.
Hi, I am new to the CM organizer. I was wondering when scheduling multiply resources for a subject, if there is an easy way to intertwine them? For example, I may not want to read Our Little Spartan Cousin every Thursday, but want to read it after every 4 readings of our spine book. Is it setup to do that? In the past I have used SCM History/Bible/Geography; with all elementary children we would simply open to the “next lesson” regardless of the resource. If we missed a day we didn’t try to “catch-up” that week or month, we just extended a little into the Summer. I hope my question makes sense. Would the easiest way to add the curriculum book and do each segment as a lesson?

KeymasterThanks for trying the CM Organizer! Right now it is admittedly a little difficult to set up resources to “intertwine” the way that you described. What you can do is use the division selector while scheduling to have the first book to use all the lessons you need to do until the second book’s reading should be done, then schedule the next lessons of the first book, and so on. It could look something like this:
Book 1: Chapters 1–4
Book 2: Chapter 1 (schedule to start after Book 1, Chapters 1–4)
Book 1: Chapters 5–8 (schedule to start after Book 2, Chapter 1)Does that make sense? It’s kind of complicated to explain but if you try it out with the CM Organizer it should make sense. 🙂

ParticipantYes, that does make sense. Thank you for your time and answer.
