So civics is one of the requirements we will face as we get into home schooling. What are others doing for this topic?
thanks
Wings2flyParticipantI plan to use for 8th grade Christian Liberty Press’ Land of Fair Play, but with narration instead of their questions and tests. I am curious of what resources others use though.
crazy4boysParticipantMy boys are using We the People in a co-op class along with The 5,000 Year Leap. (In this link a woman talks about how she got We the People for free.)
We might add in Notgrass Civics over the summer. And some Uncle Eric books.
The Bill of Rights Institute has a free online course.
Joshua BergParticipantZeezok has a high-school level semester study called “A Noble Experiment.” It covers the nature and history of the American government, including the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc. Not sure what grade level you’re looking for but I’d recommend this study.
6boys1girlParticipantWe’re using Notgrass. It’s really thorough and well done.
LaurieParticipantThanks all for the suggestions. I will look at each of them.
