    Hi Cindy,

I had to post here as I too am having problems with our computer. I can only start a new topic the past couple of days and not respond. Everytime I try to respond it tells me that there is an error with server. Anyone else having any problems with this?

Anyway, in response to your response 🙂

Over the past year we have switched to family devotions and readalouds together before bed due to a new baby in the house. My dh and I use to alternate individual readalouds with our boys in their rooms before bed – this was great for cuddle and personal time with each of them. Now, after family readalouds at night by oldest son wants to continue to read by himself in his room after our lights are out. The only computer in our house is in our master bedroom, so he wouldn’t be able to have the tempation to go on. I don’t mind him staying up to read because he loves to narrate in the morning everything that he read. I guess I just wanted to hear that others let their teenagers stay up later and enjoy some quiet time to themselves. Thank you for letting me know about the need for nine hours of sleep as I will remember this once school starts. I just can’t believe how quickly he’s growing up and how independant he’s becoming. I’m having a hard time learning the balance between treating him like a kid and a young man. Thank you for your wisdom and I’m sure I’ll have many more “teenage” questions over the next months -and years :).

    Blessings to you!
