I am beginning to start my shopping and am looking at some educational/ no traditional toys for kids girls 7 and 10, boys 13 and 17. my two daughters both want a tablet, I am very hesitant on it. I could really use some suggestions! My daughter 10 would like a ring with John 3:16 engraved on it. Any suggestion on wear to find one? I have checked at our local Family Christian stores. Thanks for your suggestions.

nest learning and Christian book . com have the rings.

My son bought a tablet recently and he mostly played video games on it,  and got it taken away because he wouldn’t obey.  I keep it in my room at night.  It has not been enjoyable for me.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Recently he started using it for ebooks,  which has gone better.</p>

The only e-reader I let my kids use is a basic black and white kindle.  Otherwise they would play games all the time.  They actually prefer reading from real paper books, so the kindle does not get used much by them.  I have a Fire and I made the mistake of downloading some apps and supervised them using mine, but they got a bad attitude in a matter of minutes because they did not want to stop playing when it was time.  I deleted the apps and have a password for mine, which we do use for school on occasion.
