Praying that God Himself lifts you up today, Rachel.
“But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head”.
I guess if I can’t physically help you… I guess I can pray for you :-). I am sure your family serves one another well, but I also understand that there are times we need help just to get ourselves back in order to be able to keep up with the day to day jobs.
I will be praying for God’s strength to indwell you both physically and emotionally. And I will be praying for your DH as well.
Rachel, I hear you. I haven’t the health issues you have, that just makes it more difficult. I had a very ‘sketchy’ upbringing as far as home and family goes -no habits whatsoever. I have raised three who are on their own, God alone knows how:)
Two more still at home and after 26 years of struggling with my self esteem and my lack of discipline, we almost have this place under control:)
A book I have been reading lately that has been a huge help to me in the zone cleaning area is by Sandra Felton. She has several, The Messies Manual and Smart Organizing are my favorites. She really spends time focusing on why we tend to be the way we are and then helping analyze and create a system that will work with the way we think. I am so thankful your kids are willing and I pray God will give you ‘blinders’ to the things that can wait and help you focus on the things that will help you longterm.
